La dernière AGA a eu lieu il y a un peu plus d'un mois. J'aimerais résumer brièvement
ce que j'ai fait depuis et ce que je compte faire d'ici la fin de juillet.
Cependant, je tiens d'abord à remercier très sincèrement Angus Brown pour toutes
ses réalisations durant son mandat de président des Amis : il a su se soucier des
détails tout en nous dirigeant d'un point de vue stratégique. Il laisse un héritage
considérable sur lequel nous pouvons faire fond. Nous le remercierons publiquement
et ferons de courtes présentations prochainement. Entre-temps, nous souhaitons bonne
chance à Angus et à tous les membres de sa famille...

Fordson Van Unveiling
Bill Leach and restorers at the unveiling
Culminating 10 years of effort, the Fordson Van was unveiled in a ceremony in the LeBreton Gallery at the Canadian War Museum on February 17, 2010. The Friends of the War Museum played a significant
role in the acquisition and restoration of the van through a contribution of $15,000. Neil Johnstone,
one of the Friends, also worked on the restoration team.
Mike Hind pours the proverbial celebratory "cuppa" for Bill Leach
The ceremony consisted of remarks by both Bill Leach, President of the Friends,
and Mark O'Neill, Director General of the CWM. Mike Hind, another Friend also
spoke about his mother's experiences in working in just such a van during WW II.
This was followed by the official unveiling of the van by Bill Leach, Mark O'Neill, and
the van's restorers.
